Families Can Be Together Forever

Today was our primary program at church.  The kids did a beautiful job sharing their message that "Families Can Be Together Forever."  Here is a picture of the primary after the program.  We are so grateful for the kids' wonderful teachers who work with them each Sunday.

Ellie was the very first child to speak in the microphone and started out the program with a bang.  Her line was supposed to be "I know my family loves me because we say prayers together."  Instead she said, "I know my family loves me because my mom is Sister Luke, my dad is Brother Luke, my sister is Hannah, my brother is Jacob, and after this I get treats."  The audience was chuckling and I received lots of comments afterwards on how funny and cute Ellie is.  We never know what she is going to say or do!

Blue Man Group

Tonight Brent and I got to go see the Blue Man Group perform here in Greeley at the UCCC.  It was a very cool show with some extremely talented performers.  We had a good night out without kids (first time without Ryan).

Trying to capture smiles

Ryan is a super smiley boy.  However, when the camera/phone comes out he is all business.  He WILL NOT smile because he is too interested in getting his hands on my phone and eating it.  These were my attempts for today.  Haha!

New Hair Selfie

I have a new hairstyle.  I have had stick-straight hair my entire life until my pregnancies with Ellie & Ryan.  Now I have some pretty curly natural stuff going on.  I am adjusting to the change and enjoying the ease of curls.

Dance Class

I was trying to take a picture of Ellie after dance class to send to Daddy and this is the best that I could get.  Ellie also has preschool T-F every week so we spend the week counting "4 days of preschool and then dance class!"  She is sure enjoying it so far!

Jacob's Big Reward

Jacob accomplished a big thing today... he went for an entire month without doing a super bad habit!  His reward for filling out his entire chart was a dinner date out with Mom and a present.  He chose a ninja turtle guy for his present and Mexican food for dinner.  His cheese quesadilla had "better cheese than Mom's" and his fried ice cream was "AWESOME!"  Good job, buddy!  You earned it!

Big things today

I had two things lift my spirits today.  First, when I got to preschool to drop off Ellie I found this picture on the wall.  I started laughing and her teacher started cracking up and said, "I didn't want to write it, but that's what she said!"  I have been laughing about it all day!

Second, I killed this ginormous spider in the garage!  I was really proud of myself.  :)

Ryan's Second Haircut

Ryan got his second haircut last night!  His hair was long enough to go into his eyes.  This is his after picture looking so handsome.  I had to cut off all of his dark hair so he looks a little different now.

 Ellie and Ryan got to hang out in the car during soccer practice because of the rain.

Labor Day Hike

Today was Labor Day.  We spent a big part of the day working around the house.  This afternoon we went to Loveland to the Devil's Backbone hike.  The kids did great (with a little whining from Jacob) and Ryan enjoyed his hiking backpack.  This formation that we stopped at is called the Keyhole.  We stopped at Main Moon to enjoy some Chinese food afterwards for dinner.  Yum!
